Skills: Advantage Gen

I do have quite extensive experience with the Advantage Gen product.

I begin working with Advantage Gen (aka IEF, Composer and Cool:Gen) in January of 1993 when I enrolled in the MS MIS program at the University of Texas at Dallas. I spent on average about 20 hours per week with the product both in the graduate level course work and in independent study lab course work over the next 18 months. My focus at that time was primarily using the tool for analysis and design (4 months win3.1) and GIU construction (14 months os2-stand alone).

In 1994 I used the tool for analysis (4 months wn3.1) while developing a process model of mortgage banking activities in both a mainframe and client/server (unix) environment.

In 1996, 1997 and 1998 I used the tool at Moble to maintain and enhance an EDI invoice processing system, and to develop a SAP-IDOC legacy data transfer mechanism. (24 months IBM mainframe, win3.1, win95)

I kept up with the tool l in 2000 or 2001 through occasional review of the documentation and subscription to the COOLGEN Member List (COOLGEN@duick.com)
